Class Prophecy The class of 1978 is holding their 25th year reunion at Don De- Bergers Do Drop Inn Resturant. Ray Allum is the first to appear, Ray is In town for a few days taking time off from his TV talk show All Night With Allum. Jay Bassette drives up, but can not find a place to park his Kenworth, Jay picked up David Barbour and a load of oranges in Florida. On their way they stopped in Washington, D.C. and Senator Lynn Aubertine followed them with her Jaguar. The three are tired and thirsty from their trip, they head for the bar where Sue Mikos is tending bar, they all seem happy to see each other. The doors open and in walks Mike Bel- linger and his wife, Mike has just taken over his father-in-laws band so promises us music later on. Suddenly the door opens and their stands Joanne Berkman stunningly dressed in a gown she designed. Joanne made it big in New York designing clothes for soap operas. Sherry Bourquin arrives next, it is nice to see her arrive early for a change. Mike Failing and Eddie Herrick are standing over by the bar arguing, it seems Eddie let his children play soccer in Mikes' pumpkin patch. Jamie Hubbard comes in and invites everyone over to his place after the bar closes, he has an ultra modern house built on the outskirts of Chaumont. We here singing and Dan Lar- kin appears, he has a group with him, they are traveling from city to city singing and preaching. Sandy Marsh would like to join the group but can not leave her business Sandys' Sewing Center. Tim Mason will not be with us, he is in Africa hunting lions. Mary Lou Middlestate arrives trailed by eight little Marines, she has them seated at once and serves them chips and coke. Sherri Pettey comes in, she just finished duty at the hospital and she tells us that Cindy Scarpecchi will not be here because she has the mumps. Mindy Mussot drives up in her fathers new wrecker, it seems Jeanine Wright ran into Bill Wisemans new Superette and Mindy pulled the wreck out. Fortunately no one was hurt and they all came in for a drink. Jackie Phillips and Jim Morrow arrive, both look a little green, Allen Strasser flew them here in his helicopter, it was Als' first flight! Terry Smith is still standing at the bar. It is getting late, we hear some noises and look out and see John Thomp- son driving a tractor pulling a wagon load of hay. There is a traf- fic jam from all our cars, trucks, tractors, wreckers, wagons, and helicopters. Leo Wilson is trying to keep traffic moving. We call out and tell Leo to come in and join us for we are just about to sit down and enjoy a banquet supper prepared by Douglas Sheas' Chef Class of Lyme Central. Rick Best comes in last but not least, apparently his car got stuck in a mud puddle on Point Salubrious. Class Prophesy ”2003” 17
