( ass 3{is torij In the fall of 1956, the class of 1960 entered Lyme Central School, looking very bewildered. Our class advisor for that year was Mr. Weaver. We elected our class officers as follows: President - Dave Peters, Vice President - John Hentze, Secretary - Leslie Comins, Treasurer - Bill Beck, Student Council Representative - Susan Richards. After the summer vacation, we once again tramped to the doors of Lyme Central, eager for knowledge. Mrs. Dunham had the delight (?) of being our homeroom teacher. We sponsored a magazine sale and a dance to earn money for our New York trip. Our class officers were: President - John Hentze, Vice President - Dave Peters, Secretary - Bill Beck. Treasurer - Larry Barr, Student Council Representative - Elaine Northrop. Refusing to be defeated, we began our junior year with a very optimistic Miss Southard as our class advisor. We elected for our officers: President - Leslie Comins, Vice President - Steve Foster, Secretary - Sue Lynch, Treasurer - Sue Richards, and Student Council Representative - Dave Peters. Our activi- ties included selling hot dogs and cokes at home basketball games, selling stationery, and sponsoring the Junior Prom. We also presented three one-act plays: I'll Die for Dear Old Rutgers, Murder by Morning, and While the Toast Burned. Returning for our final year, we found a very pessimistic Miss Southard. During the year, we had a Christmas Ball, fudge sales, a magic show, and a three-act play, Vim, Vigor, and Vitality. Those who took the jobs of being class officers were: President - Sue Lynch, Vice President - Elaine Northrop, Secretary - Steve Foster, Treasurer - Sharon Bevens, and Student Council Rep- resentative - Dave Peters. Nine of us have been classmates throughout all our years in school. These nine are Liz Wilder, Sandy Wallace, Susan Richards, Brenda Ball, David Peters, Gail Hillick, John Hentze, Leslie Comins, and Bill Beck. Through our years of schooling, many persons have been members of our class from time to time. Space prevents our mentioning all of them, but per- haps it would be interesting to list those who were with us sometime during the past six years: Linda Thompson, Carolyn Ackerman, Karen Mosher, Mary Jack- son, Susan Richardson, Karen Loan, Dorothy McNulty, Mary Belle McNulty, Bob Thompson, Helen Torrey, Alex Sundberg, and Norman Cheal.
