V I I t hi T.r:- .7-- : . . .. -?. To Mrs. Eleanor Walrath, a good friend and teacher, we, the Senior Class of 1957, dedicate these memories. Edgar A. Guest might have written these lines especially for Mrs. Walrath: Somebody said It couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied That maybe it couldn't, but he be one Who wouldn't say so til he'd tried. Although Mrs. Walrath has been with us only two years, we have all come to like and respect her very much. So to Mrs. Walrath we'd like simply to say thanks for being herself. JILa Water On the shores of Lake Ontario Stands our high school fair; Loyalty and truth her motto Green and gold wave there. Our first activity for the year was the election of the following officers: Presldent- Jaraes Klzzer, Vice Presldent-Douglas Ward, Secretary-Donald Gosler Treasurer-Eddie Radley. We brought the year to a close with a picnic at Cedar Point. After a brief interlude of 2 months we returned In our quest for knowledge. To Mr. John Greico fell the Herculean task of being our homeroom teacher. Under his care we had a rather successful magazine sale and a sophomore dance. We closed the year with a picnic at Wes- cott s Beach. Our class officers for the year were: Presldent-Dave Krupcale, Vice Presldent-Susanne Purcell, Secretary + Treasurer-Doug Ward. Being rather persistent, we returned to school as Juniors and elected our class officers, as follows: President-Doug Ward, Vice Presldent-Jon Richards, Secretary-Donna Brown, Treasurer-Marion Allen. Beginning to be money-minded, we sold hot dogs and cokes at ball games, sold stationery and h d a pancake supper. We presented Quiz Me Again , a three-act comedy, and held a Junior Prom. We held a picnic at Cedar Point. This year Mrs. Walrath was our class advisor. Once again we returned to school, our last year we hoped, and took our places as almighty Seniors. Mrs. Walrath had the honor of be- ing our advisor for the second year. For our senior play we presented Great Caesar s Ghost , a three-act comedy. Feeling a need for a dance, we held a Christmas Ball. Marlon Allen was our President, our Vice President was Jim Rogers, our Secretary was Barbara Ball and Susanne Purcell was our Treasurer. This was the year of the long dreamed of New York Trip . Perhaps you might like to know that of the present Senior Class, Barbara Ball, Christine Becker, Donna Brown, Susanne Purcell, Walter Putnam, Lois Quencer, and Carolyn Ramsey started together in the first grade. James Rogers Joined us from Three Mile Bay in the seventh grade. During our years of schooling, many persons have been members of our class from time to time. Space prevents our mentioning all of them, but perhaps it would be interesting to list those who were with us at some time during the past 4 years: Norma Reddick, Peter Seymour, Sari Switzer, Genevieve Loomis, Donald Gosler, Eddie Herrick, David Krupcale, Caro] Mahan, Douglas Reome, James Kizzer, Patty Gray, Bev- trly Downey, Claude Davis, Frank Davis, Myrna Politano, Roy Politano, and Violet Whitcomb. SJ f- ropliecif For the Class of '57 the 5 years after their graduation were certainly unusual to say the least.
