That year Mr. Keith was our class advisor; Ann Chavoustie, President; James West, Vice-Pres- ident; Carol Comins, Secretary; and Emelie Merchant, Treasurer. The first money that we earned for our class trip was by selling candy at the games and during our noon hours. We ended our year with a picnic at Cedar Point. In our Sophomore year, Mr. Grieco was our class advisor. Our class officers were James West, President; Yvonne Hamilton, Vice President; Rita Hewitt, Secretary Treasurer. Th9t year the class earned money by selling magazines. At the close of the year, we had a picnic at Cedar Point. When we returned to school in our Junior year, we elected Yvonne Ham- ilton, President; Fred Ross, Vice-President; Donna Mumford, Secretary and Emelie Merchant, Treasurer. That year Miss Southard was our class advisor. We had a very busy school term making money for cur Senior trip. The first project was selling stationery. All of the class took part in this activity, and it turned out to be a big suc- cess. Next came our Junior play, a 3-act comedy, Beauty and the Beef , with Mr. Graham Stone as our director. In June, we held our annual Junior Prom with the music of Harry Spicer and his orchestra. We ended this highly successful class year with a picnic with the Seniors at Cedar Point. Last fall we were Seniors. This was the year we all had been looking forward to, the year for our class trip to New York City! Miss Southard was our class advisor. We elected Fred Ross, President; Robert Dailey, Vice-President; John Peters, Secretary; and Emelie Merchant, Treasurer. Yvonne Hamilton was our representative to the Student Council. This year we held a magician show with the talented Mr. Russell as the magician. Then we had our Senior class play, Finders Creepers , directed by Miss Aldous. We also had several food sales and a talent show. Our class motto has been: Plan well for the future, for you will spend the rest of your life In it. Our class colors are blue and white, and the class flower is the American Beauty rose. It might be interesting to note that the present 20 members in the Senior Class have gone all through high school together. Donna Mum- ford, Roy Bevens, Bill Cuppernell, Bethel Brown, Rita Hewitt, Carol Comins, and Jim West all started first grade together in Chaumont, and Marvin Bourcy and Carolyn Herrick started first grade together in Three Mile Bay School. The following have been in our class at one time or another: Norman Gee, Charles 0«Connor, Danny Warner, Marlene Wilkie, Elmar Freytag, Arlene Goodrich, Shirley Daniels, Claude Davis, Eddie Herrick, Jeanette Jackson, Rosemary Klock, Douglas Reome, Alan Paro, Lester Scales, and Robert Goodfriend. ffiaat HtU anil (Hratampitt. _We, The Senior Class of 1956....... of the L. It seems that Marvin Bourcy took quite a liking to the city when the class came here in 1956. Here is an account of each member of the class as reported at the reunion: Roy Beyens is now principal of Lyme Central School and has Just established a rule that all Seniors may go home at noon. Having taken the advice of the Class of 195£ Bethel Brown is now the owner of a taxi service between Three Mile Bay and Watertown. The business has become so successful that she is now considering expanding to include Cape Vincent in the route covered. Anne Chavoustle is now the famous Anna. We understand she post- poned a world-wide singing tour to attend the reunion. Carol Comlns is still interested in lj.-H work, especially since she married the leader of the New York State organization. And who was that with the sneakers and football? Oh, yes, it s Bill Cuppernell, who now heads the physical education department at Cort- land State Teachers College. Robert Dailey is now famous on television. He is top umpire of the American League. Frances Dodge has Just won an award for being the world’s best woman driver. She certainly has changed since her high school days when she backed through a fence and hit two trees. Patricia Elliott has done quite well at the Watertown School of Com- merce, and she is now a very well-known stenographer for a company in New York City. Who was that who arrived in the Cadillac? Yes, it’s Elizabeth Cosier. It seems someone entered her picture in a beauty contest, and she ended up marrying the Judge, who Just happened to be very wealthy. When asked how her trip to New York was. Yvonne Hamilton, the world's greatest water-skier, replied, Wet. You see, Yvonne, in order to attend our reunion, took to her water skis, and now in addition to her many other titles she has been named the first per- son ever to ski non-stop from Florida to New York on one foot. David Heasley graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State Ranger School at Wanekena and is now stationed at Willow Creek. Since the passing away of Imogene Coca two weeks ago, Carolyn Her- rick has taken her place. And she is doing very well. Who do you suppose was the photographer to take the pictures at the meeting? Why, it was Emelle Merchant, who is now a photographer for the New York Times. Rita Hewitt has recently been selected as Mrs. America and is now vacationing in Bermuda, this trip having been one of the prizes. Donna Mumford was dressed in her newest creation. She is now head designer for Sake-Fifth Avenue. John Peters is diligently pursuing all farmers’ daughters in the guise of a John Deere tractor salesman. Fred Ross seems to have had a little bad luck, for he is now in the hospital recuperating from having eaten 30 banana splits in the World -wide Banana Split Contest. ije? Is a well-known politician, rapidly working his way to the White House. James West now owns his own farm machinery store, located on the Old Town Springs Road. 1st. row. H. Reddick, C. Ramsey, V.
