That year Mr, Mein was our class advisor; Barbara Allen, president; Donald Clement, vice-pres,; Anna Scarpcchi, secretary; and Majken Carney, treas. We earned our first money for our New York trip by selling candy during the noon hours and at games. At the close of the school year we had a picnic with the Sophomores at Long Point, Hie class officers for our Sophomore year were Majken Carney, president; Barbara Allen, vice-pres.; Anna Scarpcchi, secretary; and Joan Ketcham, treas. Our class advisor was Mrs. Frances Allison, That year we did quite well with a magazine sale. In June we held a picnic at Cedar Point with the Freshmen class. During the year Shirley Stahl joined our class and Betty Mason left us. In our Junior year Hope Warner was president; Russell Weaver, vice-pres.; Dorothy Reed, secretary; and Anna Scarpcchi, treas. Miss Southard was our class advisor. During the year our class sold stationery and also sold hot dogs and soft drinks at the home games. We presented three one-act plays: Hurricane Hill , Late Holiday , and Tea at Four with Miss Southard and Mrs. Benson as directors. In June we held our Junior Prom with Barbara Allen as Queen and Dick Hamilton as King. At the close of the year we had a class picnic at Cedar Point. Dick Hamilton joined us in our Junior year and Donald Clement, Jack Walts, and Joan Ketcham left us. We started our Senior year with Hope Warner as president; Barbara Allen, vice-pres.; Manfred Sobottka, secretary; Dick Hamilton, treas.; and Russell Weaver as Senior representative to the Student Council. Our class advisor was Miss Southard. Our activities during our Senior year were: a Jukebox Dance, a Halloween Dance, a Senior Dance, and our Senior play, No More Homework , directed by Mr. Stone. We also published The On- tarion , Lyme Central annual yearbook. During the Easter vacation we spent our class funds on a four-day trip in New York City. We plan to have a picnic at the close of the year. This year Manfred Sobottka, an exchange student from Germany, and Joan Switzer joined us and Barbara Allen left us. It is interesting to note that of the 20 present seniors only two, Lois Countryman and Hope Warner, were in the first grade together. In the seventh grade Ruth Weller, Karol Cheal, Dorothy Reed, Tommy Goodale, Russell Weaver, and Arlen Herrick joined them from the Hiree Mile Bay school. The rest of the class has joined these, either in the grades or in high school. During our four years several other students have been members of our class. These are: Shirley Angell, Myrtle Goodfriend, Harold Groat, Earl Nichols, Donald Yott, Rene Mayer, Jeanne Williams, and Robert Reome.
