Our class officers were Betty Kolbrook as president, Marvin Peters as vice-president, Janet Hines as secretary, and John Fulmer as treasurer. Mr. Mein was our class advisor. We had two new members, Janet Fines and Lois Hall Our ac- tivities were selling candy, a picnic at Long Point and a hay ride. During our Sophomore year, Audrey Comins was president; Lois Hall, vice-president; Betty Holbrook, secretary; and Marvin Peters, treasurer. Miss Holland was our advisor. Our main activity was selling magazines. We clesed the year with a picnic at Long Point. In our Junior year, Marvin Peters was president, Janet Peters was vice-president, Lois Hall was secretary, and Sally Daniels was treasurer. Mrs. Beck was our class advisor. We sold stationery and soft drinks. We also had a St. Patrick's dance and the Junior Prom with Lois Hall as Queen and Marvin Peters as King. We presented three one-act plays, Tommy's Growing Pains , The Midnight Ghost , and Polly Put the Ket- tle on . All of the class went to Oswego to the mock Repub- lican convention. Joey Gosier joined us this year. The Senior year started with Janet Peters as president, Johnny Fulmer as vice-president, Mary Drake as secretary, and Sally Daniels as treasurer. Betty Holbrook was the Senior representative to the Student Council. We had a Hallowe'en dance and a Senior play called Hi and Sis in New York , with Janet and Marvin Peters as leads. It is interesting to know that Anne Bearup, Sally Daniels, Betty Holbrook, Betty Lane, and Mickey Quencer began school together twelve years ago. In the seventh grade Beverly Van Ness Joined us from Pt. Peninsula and Mary Drake. Betty Weaver, and Eleanor Feed Joined us from Three Mile Bay. Throughout the four years, several students have been mem- bers of our class from time to time. These are: Donald Hop- pell, Harry Gould, Bill Goodfriend, Wendall Davis, Elizabeth Ackerman, Ward Hailing, Jimmy Wright, Jim Klock, Charles Chavoustie, Betty Salter, Francis Garrett, and John Fulmer. We advise Beverly VanNess to stick to the idea of going into the Western union work. Maybe she could be a famous telegraph operator someday. We advise Sally Daniels to keep up her good standings in college as she has here.. We advise Audrey Comins to buy a garage and be a lady mechanic. Her experience will come in handy. We advise Eleanor Reed to go ahead with her ambition to become a stenographer. She may even get to be a private secretary. A period of ten years has gone by and as we look in on the Seniors, Class of '53, we find: Anne Bearup-Anne now has a beauty salon at the corner of Hollywood and Vine, and designs hair styles for such famous stars as Gloria Glamour and Lassie. Audrey Comjns-Audrey. who is professor of math at Yale, married one of her students last year. She now spends her time experimenting with new formulas for her two month old quadruplets. Sally Daniels-Sally has just finished her third best-seller, Drums Along The Saint Lawrence , which won for her the Pul- itzer Prize. She is now hard at work on her fourth book, Sweets To The Sour , a non-fiction book of her schooldays in Chaumont. Helmut Dietz-Helmut. now a chief architect, has just laid plans for a miniature R.C.A. to be constructed in the heart of Germany. He is doing this because he was so impressed by his year spent in the United States. Mary Drake-Mary is head nurse at the City Hospital in New York and is leaving next month for Korea where she will entertain our boys on the battle front. Joey Gosler-Joer now in the firm of Powers and Gosier Soap Company, is in Chicago with his wife and family transacting a business deal to sponsor the great tv crime detective show Fishnet . Lois Hall-Lois. who has been working for Western Union, has met and married the head manager of a large branch of offices and they are now honeymooning in Bermuda. Hjflgg-Janet, who is now better known as Madame Jeanete the famous Paris designer, has just flown to England to de- sign Princess Ann’s wedding gown. We hear she will design one for herself when she returns home. Betty Holbrook-Last month Miss Holbrook was made a five star general by the president of the United States and received a medal of valor for her bravery from her fiance , General Thomas Dewey, Jr. Bcttj_Lane-Betty, after getting practice in Rochester as a file clerk, is head of the filing department in Washington. Next week she is going to be filing for the president. jan t Peters-Janet.who is Married to a New Yorjc surgeon, nas become famous with her husband for their discovery of H8°3 kich is bbing used in the fight against tecnatopiside, fenln Pgtqrg-Ppon graduating from Clarkson, Marvin started his own engineering firm of Peters and Peters and is now building an addition of seven floors to the Empire State Building. MftTYiB foffiger-After Judging +-H fashion shows for years, Mickey is now the head superintendent of Conover Cover Girls, which of course his wife does not wholly approve of. BltftPgr Rgefl-Havlng started at the Watertown School of Com- merce, Eleanor has worked her way up to the very top and is now Secretary of the United States. Ineidently there have been rumors around about a marriage between her and the treasurer. Bgyexly VapNegg-Last week Beverly left for Mars where she will supervise the •omdtruction of a trans-continental tel- egraph line from Mars to Earth. Bev started as a teletype operator at Western Union. Betty Weaver-While in South Africa on a lf-H trip, Betty was head chief of the African f-H. She is trying to decide whether to take her husband and three children there to live or to come back to the United States. David WrlehtMAfter leaving L.C.S., David purchased a stock car and has travelled the world over. While demonstrating his great driving ability, he has beeome the president of the Adirondack Stock Car Racing Association. When you see the Seniors of old L.C.S. Dressed in the caps and the gowns of success, Don't be surprised, And don't wonder why. For we've worked hard in the years now gone by. With several boys back from last year's team, we won 13 and lost only 3 ending up in a second place tie with Phila- delphia High School.
