Martin Bancroft, w’vo went west after graduation, is now the greatest furniture designer in Hollywood. Marty makes personalized furniture for such noted persons as Margaret Jones (formerly Truman), Dagmar, and Elizabeth White. Liz White, will soon become a leading movie star. She has had parts in such great movies as The Lost Chord , Sorry, Wrong Operator , and Sleepwalker’s Insomnia Murder Case . Elizabeth’s talent was ’ discovered after Don Rickett had her for a model for his designs. Since Elizabeth's success, Donald Rickett has become her personal dress designer. He started his studio in New York but became such a success that he left it in charge of his assistant, Hattie Carnegie, and opened a new studio in Hollywood. Gene Parker has become the greatest comedian since the De?n Martin- Jerry Lewis team. He is now making as much money as both Lewis and Martin made at their peak. Gene’s next Broadway musical will be Rocketship Named Desire . Joanne West is head nurse of the Syracuse City Hospital. She was promoted to this post as soon as the new hospital had been completed because of her bravery in rescuing all the patients while the old building was in flames. Mary Lou Wilkinson has been married for four years. At the present she has her hands full—taking care of her two-year old sextuplet boys and nursing her husband who has unaccountably been suffering from shock for two years. Evelvn LaComb last week saved the U.N. Building by her cool daring. She stayed at her post, defending her switchboard bravely, until the police came to chase away the boys who had been breaking the glass walls with pebbles flung from spring-powered sling-shots. Bob Purcell, designer of the aircraft carrier, The Chaumont , be- came the eighth living billionaire after doodling in the stock mar- ket. Unfortunately, after a physical breakdown due to her fatiguing duties as first and only girl drum majorette of the Harvard Univer- sity band, Dorothy Haas dropped out of sight. It is believed that she want to the North Woods, for recuperation, where she worked as cook in a lumber camp. From there, it is heard, she went to North- ern Alaska where she met and married a young explorer. It seems they are now somewhere in Tibet, trying to find their way down from a mountain. George Van Alstvne has become renowned throughout the nationfor his unique farm in the middle of Washington, D.C. Complete in every de- tail, his farm is located near the Library of Congress. George supplies all the food for the Senators' cafeteria in the Capitol. As for our bashful boy, Kent Horton, he is doing pretty well for himself. Having made a fortune in oil, he travels only in the wealthiest circles, spending his winters in the Bahamas and his sum- mers on his Long Island estate. He hopes to return to Chaumont this month and will no doubt visit Lyme Central. We’re rather proud of our classmates of 20 years ago.
