“ rf Four years ago we started a very hectic Freshman year. Sixteen of the Seniors who are graduating were members of the original Freshman class. Our class officers were Virgil Weaver as President; Harvey Hewitt as Vice-President; and Dorothy Haas as Secretary-Treasurer. Mr. Mein was our class advisor. Activities of the year were selling candy at noon hours and a picnic with the Sophomores at Long Point at the close of the year. Our Sophomore year went along smoothly with Dorothy Haas as President; Harvey Hewitt as Vice-President; Eliza- bet'' White as Secretary; June Brown as Treasurer; and Mr. Hill as our class advisor. Among our activities were a magazine sale, candy sales at ball games, a Hallowe'en party at the Annex, and at the close of the year, a picnic at Long Point. Our Junior year was a success with Donald Kiekett as president; Virgil Weaver as Vice-President; Joanne West as Secretary; Elizabeth White as Treasurer; and Miss Southard as our class advisor. Our activities consisted of selling stationery which we did exceptionally well, selling soft drinks at ball games, a talent show, the Junior Prom at which Donald and Elizabeth were King and Queen, and the Junior plays. It seems that our class was so big that we couldn’t get everybody in one play, so we picked four one-act plays so that everybody could participate. The plays were, The Brave Shall Serve , By Special Request , directed by Miss Southard; I Shall Be Waiting , and The New Bov , Directed by Mr. Stone, our music teacher. At the end of the year we went on a picnic at Cedar Point. Our Senior year opened with Richard Heasley as Presi- dent; June Brown as Vice-President; Elizabeth White as Secretary; Joanne West as Treasurer; Harvey Hewitt as Senior Representative to the Student Council; and Miss Southard as class advisor. On the l6th of November we held our Senior play, House of Horrors , directed by Miss Southard and Mp. Collins. At Hallowe'en we held a dance. We published The Ontarion , the annual yearbook. During the Easter vations we went on a four-day trip to New York. A picnic is being planned. It is interesting to know that Donald, Virgil, Hob, and Joanne all started school together twelve years ago and are, therefore, the only 0- from the group who have continued their school life together.
