ecy Last night, June 26, 1961, the class of '51 held its 10th reunion at the very fashionable and ultra modern Hotel Le Futur, (formerly Gunns Corners). Those present were: Richard Knight-Now Ricardo Nocta, who reached here last night via Atlantic Airlines from NYC where he held a successful concert at Carnegie Hall. He started his career by studying at the Julliard School of Music and has just returned to the states from a much lauded tour of Europe. After an intensive period of training, he carved for himself a career as one of the most promising American pianists. Elinor Merchant-Known to herfhns as Linor Erchant, the lovely and talented screen television star. Linor was discovered by an MGM talent scout while attending Rochester Business Institute. Don't miss her next picture Forever Ambergris . Prior to the reunion, she was given the much coveted Oscar award. Rosemary Loomis-The chief telephone operator in the Empire State Building, she was made famous by refusing to leave her post at the switchboard during a fire that everyone thought would destroy the tall building. It was her persistency that enabled hundreds of people to escape, free from panic. Because of this, she was given an award by the mayor of NYC. Her publicity brought her a handsome husband, the mayor himself. Ruth Scales-Known in the world of society as Lady Brinthrope, the wife of Lord Henry Brinthrope. Ruth met Lord Henry one summer when she was swimming off Long Point. Swimming out too far, she was swept out into the lake by the current and tfas literally swept into his arms, for he was in his motor launch fishing. To make a long story short, they were married and are living happily. Barbara Luff-The first woman to successfully fly a supersonic jet around the world. Barb's attention will now be focused on jet rockets. Who knows? She may be tne first woman to fly a jet rock- et to the moonjI If Barb's luck holds out, she may even get to marry the man in the mooni Ted Mudgett-Four Star General Mudgett of the U.S.Army. He flew here last night from Washington where he has been in consultation with America's most able military leaders. Ted has had a brilliant military carer , starting as a private in the N.Y.National Guard. He is one of the few men who have worked themselves up from the ranks to become one of the best strategists in the U.S.A. Rose Ann Mumford-Now Mademoiselle Rozanne, the famous gown designer, left Paris last month to hold her annual style show at the Ritz- Carlton. She will stay in the north country for the rest of the week. When asked what next year's styles would be, Rozanne hinted that hemlines would actually drop below the knees and that coiffures will take on new lines, shoulder length pigtails. Henry Purcell-The millionaire yachtsman, making a trip around the world In his 50' sailboat, stopped off here to attend the reunion. Hank made his millions by recovering the fabulously rich Spanish ship sunk along the coast of South America. Next he is going to try his luck at discovering the lost French treasure that is said to be lost at the bottom of Chaumont Bay.
