Art One is for creative people who want experience working with various media such as padnting, sculpture, and crafts. It is also for seniors who are in des- perate need of a few easy credits . V ' by Tom Batiuk CHEMISTRY -n (Prerequisite- Chemistry I or one year of watching Mr. Wizard.) In Chemistry Two,you ' l]. go deeper into the study of atomic theory and you ' ll be making greater use of the periodic table which gets its name from the fact that you hasre to keep looking at it periodically during a test. The catch is,that as soon as you do, they change it to something else. If you enjoy this , youll also like beat- ing your head against a brick wall. by Tom Batiuk SHOP- (Prerequisite -mechanical drawing or a note from a hood,) Let ' s be honest, shop is the pits. It ' s mainly for people who like trying to plane a board with tools that haven ' t been sharpened since the Stone Age. For eleven years he has been exemplifying high school life in a humorous manner thai we can all relate to through his comic strip funky Winkerbean. The idea of usmg this strip as the theme for the yearbook has been in the planning for well over a year. The yearbook staff feels Mr Batiuks characters relate directly to all students of Lyman High School, and the problems and situations they encounter. For this reason we are proud to build our yearbook around the antics of Funky, Crazy. Les. and the entire Winkerbean clan We thank Field Enterprise Inc and Tom Batiuk for graciously allowing us the use of copyrighted materials to make this yearbook a standard by which all others would be compared. 143 Scholastic Team 143 Funky Wlnk«rb««n by Tom Batiuk THE TURMIN POlf T OF WE FOOTBALL GAME ' JJS ' 145 146 147 Varsity Baseball 148 V Baseball hw« Ko« l-« Jhn Odom.
