Dean of tuclents John R. Schuller B.A., M.A., University of Florida The general goals for the total school guidance and counseling program are shared by all persons who seek to help children. The purposes of guidance services are to add new dimensions through systematic planning, providing additional knowledge and professional skills to strengthen existing programs and offer- ing new services where there is a need. A guidance and counsel- ing program will in no way displace the teacher's role, but should make it possible for him to perform more effectively. Emphasis shall he placed on the developmental and preventive aspects rather than the remedial. The specific goals are: To assist the pupil in relating his interests, capabilities and aptitudes to his aspirations and life goals. To help the pupil analyze himself and utilize his alternatives. To aid the teacher in identification of and provision for the individual pupil's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical characteristics. To help parents and teachers with their understanding of the individual pupil as he relates to school, career choice, and society. To assist the faculty in individualizing education for all pupils.

Assistant Principal Theodore Dan Dagg B.S., Bowling Green M.A., Ohio State Superintendent JOHN G. ANGEL A Each new school year provides challenges to all persons involved. Certainly this year was no exception. The change from Mold to anew Lyman was one that called for the co- operation of everyone. It is our sincere wish that with the new facilities each Lyman student will be able to gain a finer, more extensive and more meaningful education. Sincere best wishes to the 1970 graduates. May you find that which you seek, and achieve that for which you strive.
