I love the excellent pictorial. I also enjoy the concise down to earth interviews. It is a treasure for you. Chad Benson Each year the work becomes more detailed as the Eagle Flight staff Shoots for the bullseye Dennis johnson ...Tl- tate championships and a national rating brought notoriety to Lyman. Many schools requested the yearbook, giving Lyman a reputation for having one of the best journalism programs in the state. The Eagle Flight scored 1081 of 1100 points possible to be the 2A champions for the third year. We were afraid we would lose more points than we lost last year because we had a conservative book. lt was apparently the style judges were looking forf, said Yearbook Advisor Cary Cox. The yearbook received 953 of 1000 points which is extremely good for first year submission. Cox was interviewed by ADVISOR magazine as well as asked to speak at the CSPA conference. All this success put pressure on the staff. 1 think it is hard for the whole staff because everyone expects us to win again, noted Editor Susan Apgood. Our book is the highest ranked in the state and it's the one everyone wants to beatf' added Cox. The 90 percent student subscription rate showed the support the students gave the yearbook. The student reaction to the yearbook was nearly all positive. I thought the yearbook was good, but it could use a few more pictures,', said Jeff Bluemel. Scott Jaggi added, I like the yearbook because it shows you all the people and events of the year. Then you can look back and see all your friends and all the other fun things. It's neat to know what the differences between one year to the other are. Creative writing. The annual yearbook signing party personalizes putdowns and remember me's.
