Friends we've made these past four years. Good times we’ve had. and times filled with tears. Things we've done that others wouldn't dare They've all become a memory that we all share. ' V OjIV Parties and proms, they’re gone for now. Gone like the wind as we take our final bow. Look to the future and smile at the past. The memories of high school will forever last Cherish the moments spent with special friends. This is the happiness that never ends. Craziness, laughter, joy. and sorrow. Remembered in our hearts as we reach toward tomorrow. CLASS OF iii Our life at Lyman Hall we leave behind. But we keep the memories of the greatest kind. Never to be forgotten, but here no more. Not only did they take home the Carini Bowl with a 23-0 victory over crosstown rival Sheehans they also came away with a share of the Hou-satonic League Title. The stingy Trojan defence held the opposition in check all season. While the offense came alive behind Quaterback Joe Tuscano and Runningbacks Billy Pello and Billy Bridgett. Co-captains Paul Ciardullo and Justin Toomey led their team to a 7-3 record. Toomey, Bridgett and Rick Condon were named to the All-Fiousatonic League Team. Captain Kathy Brady and sophomore Jennifer Nowlan were joined by four potentially successful freshman runners. Among the team’s greatest assets was the one-two punch of the Fengler brothers, co-cap-tained Jon and Jeff, Both were selected for the All-Housy Team, and Jeff placed very well in both the sectional and state meets. You have made my first year as principal rewarding and very enjoyable. As graduation evening nears, it is important to realize that this occasion is far from being an end. It is, in fact, the beginning of all your tomorrows. Over the past four years you have worked and studied, practiced and played, and grown — grown mentally as well as physically — and now you are ready to begin your lives as members of the adult community. For some of you this will mean a job and the responsibilities of family living. For others, this will mean college and years of further study and preparation. Whatever course your future takes, it is my sincere hope that you will look back on your years at Lyman Hall High School as having prepared you to meet and deal with the challenges that life will present. On behalf of myself and the faculty and staff of Lyman Hall High School, I wish to each and every one of you the happiness of a productive life, the respect of your fellow human beings and the love of your family. May the future be yours. The best of luck and congratulations to the Class of 1984. Dale A. Wilson MR MEEHAN MR RUOTOLO VICE PRINCIPAL VICE PRINCIPAL FRANK SOLDEN SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS VINCENT L. During these years, music and Mr. Crump became synonymous at L.H.H.S. He was the director of the Concert and Marching Bands, the Girls’ Chorus and the Chordials and served as the music director of the twelve musicals produced at L.H.H.S. In addition, he served on committees involving high school music activities on both the regional and state levels. Those students who had the privilege of knowing him remember a devoted teacher who showed warmth, understanding and concern for them as individuals. His presence at countless rehearsals, pep rallies, half-time shows, parades, auditorium programs and concerts made Mr. Crump a familiar figure to all Lyman Hall students. His retirement in the spring of 1982 brought to a close a long and distinguished career as music teacher and educator. We, the Class of 1984, would like to thank him for his twenty-five years of dedicated devotion to the students of Lyman Hall High School. FRED BERGGREN Fred Berggren retired from Lyman Hall in the spring of 1982 after seventeen years of dedicated service in the Vocational Agriculture Department. During his tenure at Lyman Hall, Mr. Berggren taught Animal Production, Plant Science, Animal Technology and Adult Education in Animal Science. He also served as an advisor to the Lyman Hall Chapter of Future Farmers of America. Mr. Berggren also took on an active role in the Vocational Agricultural Consulting Committee, acted as Treasurer of the Connecticut Vo-Ag Teachers Association, and was a member of the Connecticut FFA Foundation. Mr. Berggren was truly a dedicated professional. His students will always value his sharing of knowledge, experience, and understanding. We the class of 1984 would like to thank him for his dedication to the students of the Lyman Hall Agriculture Program. 165 I9S3 highlights . . . albums . . . sports . . . TOP TEN ALBUMS 1.
