MR. JOHN PRICE, A.B., Ed.M Principal To the Graduates of I964: You have come to a fork in the road of life. The sign posts point clearly in different directions. The mileage either way varies but little in measured kilometers. The destina- tions, however, are at extreme poles. The choice is yours to make. The one road is the path to success through effort, perseverance, and self- sacrifice. It winds in serpentine fashion through chasms and valleys of challenge and temptation. lt is the expert trailmaker who finds his route safely home. The other highway is level and direct. No inclines, no ruts, no detours bar the way. lt is, in truth, an easi to the pioneer. er route to follow, but ultimately offers little satisfaction The allegory is clear. The happy, secure, self-reliant man will choose the more difficult pathway. He will often feel closeted within the maze, but he will eventually come to the end of the road. There he will stand - in the aura of his own light.
