Advisers ALEXANDER CARTER, LUCIA KoLODZIEJ The Commercial Club, founded in 1912 by the members of the Bookkeeping Problems Class, was later extended to all juniors and seniors enrolled in the Commercial Course. Monthly meetings have been held this year with the activities including various types of socials, the initiation of new members, and a field trip. Torrey The Junior-Senior Student Council has met every Friday during the sixth period. This year the organization continued presenting a gift to each boy who left the school to join the armed forces. Other activities were the regulation of traffic. the selling of war stamps, the management of the A. A. drive, and the sponsoring of several successful dances and open-house programs. Clark The Junior College Club has met once a month throughout the school year at the homes of the members or at the high school. Thp club speakers have been Constance Cronan and Harry Brunger from Yale; Miss L. Alice Ramsay, personnel director at Connecticut College; and Dr. Helen I. Strickland, curriculum director of the Wallingford schools. The club bas had two dances, one in November and another in March. 29
