THE PRESIDENT ' S MESSAGE To the Class of 1967: What a change has come over you in four years! It does not seem so long ago that you came to the campus of Lycoming College. You were shy and confident. You were humble and proud. You were frightened and carefree. You were a strange mixture of motions, ready to be shaped and molded by the destinies of a liberal arts education. And now four years have passed and you are about to leave the campus. There are not so many of you as when you came. But you who remain are wiser than when you came. It is not as though you were shaped and molded at all, but rather that you have grown and matured. You leave the College with our stamp of approval. We are proud of what you have become, but we are prouder still of the potential you represent for tomorrow. We would not believe that your education is completed. We would rather believe that it is just beginning. The liberally educated man is one who has known the experience of coming to terms with, and accepting responsibility for, oneself and one ' s world. We bid you farewell with our best wishes for an ever expanding experience of education. Very sincerely, D. FREDERICK WERTZ President 12
