After moving in, saying good-by, getting settled, and talking with their advisors, the Freshmen officially begin their college life by registering for their first semester cours- es. This is where the last name comes be- fore the first and where one must remem- ber his birth date — not 1963; where one practices writing his numbers in the ID, street. Zip-code, and phone spaces and for- gets that the actual schedule is NOT writ- ten in ink. College careei ' s officially begin as Freshmen register for their first semester courses. Alpha Phi Omega ' s Operation Suitcase assists girls move into Rich Hall, their new home.

Students and faculty casually join together and discuss the new curriculum. cflnpus Lfeoffi ' s conmcf Each year before the fall semester, a Ki ' oup of students and faculty members get togeth- er to plan general procedure for the year and discuss responsibilities of campus lead- ers and problems and situations that exist or that may arise in the ensuing year. Through this conference it is hoped that there will emerge a more unified approach to the man- agement of campus life. The conference also enables the leaders to get tf) know one another as persons and therefore to better understand the problems of their co-workers. Dr. John F. Olson, of Syracuse University, answers questions of students after his controversial speech on Higher Education in the Future. Over coffee, faculty members chat informally. Resident advisors discuss possible counseling situa- tions.
