John Dunston CHIEFTAIN AWARD Each year on Honors Day, the student body assembles in Clarke Chapel for the awarding of prizes and honors. The one honor which arouses the most suspense and interest is the Chieftain Award. Since he is the recipient of the highest non- academic award conferred by Lycoming College, the Chief- tain is chosen jointly by the faculty and students on the basis of outstanding leadership, service and scholarship. This year the award goes to John H. Dunston, president of the senior class. His warmth, quiet sincerity and true ability have been a boon to our class and an inspiration to us all. We are pleased to have this opportunity to express our affection and g ratitude with this honor which he so richly deserves.
