was Mr. H. H. Spooner, the president of the Connecticut Union. He impressed upon us th.-e nobleness of Christianity, and pointed us to the Christ, who extends to us his power in all its vastness. A very interesting letter was received from Ramallah, where little Najla, Whom We support, attends school. The whole amount required for her tuition Was not raised last year, and a vigorous effort is being made this year to cover the amount required, and also to make up part of the deficiency of last year.. VVe learn that Najla is developing into a Christian young woman, and is one of the brightest and noblest girls of her school. It has seemed best this year for us to have our consecration meetings apart from the regular evening service. These have been very impressive, and all members who have attended have been strengthened by them. The society has endeavored to make this year the best in its history, in order that Christian Endeavor might mean to the School something that is high and noble. We may not have reached the ideal we saw before us at the beginning of the year, and, although there have been failures, we have tried, with God's help, to live lives which might worthily be called Christians.
