M Kopetz has been teaching in Luzerne High School for many years We have all enp joyed his qulet manner Whatever problems we have had he has helped us He is tall, slender, has an outstand1ng personality, and is loads of fun nKopeU resldes in a little, white house on Charles Street He teaches World History, American History, and Problems of Democracy All of us who have had him in class never had to fear for he was patlent and conslder of having him as a teacher in their future years f 'fn M XX ,,,i ate. we give the under-classmen the pleasure 0 Senior horeroom teachers must endure a lot, and Mrs M les is no exception sides having to contend with a group who are very poor housekeepers, she also has had the chore of managing the canteen She has met both responsibilities w1th patlence times UMilesyW has had to be qulte stern, but she never really frightened the seniors when she threatened UI'll turn you over m Mrs Miles is an excellent teacher and a warm frlend In the years ahead we will look back to our senior year and remember the homeroom teacher who helped us when we needed help, and hope that she, M s Miles, will think Llndly of us too In 1947, Luzerne Hlgh welcomed a news llllf' comer to 1ts faculty from Swoyerville Yes, Luzerne Hlgh was as strange to M ss Gilmore as it was to us But havlng had her four years as a homeroom teacher, we have come to know her better than most teachers We can say that we have gone through high school with NMimi W She graduated from College Misericordia and teaches General Business and Shorthand Through all our misunderstandings we have come to realize how helpful she has been to our class we hope she will never my forget us, as we know we shall always remenp ..-- -up ber her To her future students we leave her shining personality
