GEORGE V. GREGOR True greatness is measured by the capacity to serve. Luxemburg High School ' s 1967 annual staff dedicate the above quotation to Mr. George V. Gregor who retired July l r 1966 after devoting forty-seven years of service to the held of education. Forty-two years were spent at the Luxemburg High School. In that time, Mr. Gre¬ gor was not absent one full day due to illness. He was principal ol the Luxemburg High School for twenty-eight years, and is considered by many to be the greatest figure in our school ' s history. Mr. Gregor ' s tools for success were m3ny. To those who know him well, two stand out as being especially important. First he had great faith in his fellow man Second, his dedication to his work was outstanding. There was no eight hour day or five day week for this dedicated manl Evening hours and week ends were devoted to the profession he loved. The new high school building stands as a memorial to his unselfish work, and the high ideals implanted in the hearts and minds of countless young men and women stand as a liv¬ ing memorial to our beloved Mr. Gregor, Pags Two
