SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS Mike Arendt FORENSIC WINNER BAND MUSIC CLINIC James Dorner STAR CHAPTER Lyle Zetiner STATE CHAMPION Sherry DeJardin represented our Senior Class and Luxemburg Union High School at thf annual Badger Girl State, this past summer, She was chosen on such things as outstanding leadership, scholastic ability, personality and extra curricular activities. While there, taking part in their activities she was chosen as head nurse of her county. The purpose for this gathering is to stir up enthusiasm in com¬ munity, state and national government, Michael Arendt, Sherry Dejardin and Kay De¬ wane competed in district and league competition of the Forensic Club and received A rating at both locations. This gave ihem the right to compete in state at Madison. With their performances at Madi¬ son they came back with the highest honors. James Dorner, an outstanding member of F.F.A. for four years and with special achievements to back him up, was eligible for the Star Farmer Award. Among his achievements was; Hie raising of two hogs, two heifer calves, and The development of Sherry Dejardin BADGER GIRL CHORUS MUSIC CLINIC FORENSIC WINNER eight-hundred pine trees and shrubs. Jim was presi¬ dent of the organization in his junior year, and treasurer in his semor year. Michael Arendt and Sherry DeJsrdin were the two outstanding musical students eligible for the Band and Chorus Clinic open during the summer for thousands of students. They spent three weeks at Oshkosh Slate College with Mike Arendt attending Band Clinic and Sherry Dejardin attending the Chorus Omit. These two students were chosen on their musical ability, service and character, to re¬ present Luxemburg at this annual Music Clinic. Lyle, an an outstanding wrestler of L.H.S., during hts four years of wrestling, has been eligible for state com petit ion during his last two years. Wrestling in the 120 pound class division last year, he received second place.
