Nurse Going past the nurse's office in the morning, have you ever noticed some of the students standing in line holding paper slips? Admitting students back into school is only one of Mary Sue Tollefson’s duties as nurse for the Luverne schools. Keeping health records and making periodical health checks of all the students are two more tasks which keep our well-qualified nurse very busy. Cooks The nurse checks Jean Boone's tempera- ture before readmitting her to class. Long before the stu- dents of LHS start morning classes, the cooks are busy preparing the noon meal. They not only prepare meals on school days but also for special school events. Mrs. Myrtle Thompson, Mrs. Agnes Husen, Mrs. JoAnne Wagner, Mrs. Gladys Gordon. 12

Faculty This year, due to the growth of our student body, the faculty of LHS has in- creased to forty-five mem- bers. Next to the home, a teacher creates the great- est impact upon the stu- dent, and realizing this, he tries not only to in- struct the student but also to make him a ve 11-rounded- individual eager to face life's challenges. Lu- verne's faculty can easily be rated as th e best of its profession. Mr. Clercx poses with his self-portrait.
