CARDINAL STAFF Inside the room marked Cardinal Staff Only a sigh of relief was heard, for the last page of the 1951 Cardinal was finished at last. For four months they had labored to help preserve some of the memories of events that happened in LHS during 1950-51. There was always so much to do with so little time to do it in that the Staff feared at times there would be no Cardinal. Finally, though, the last page was finished and ready to be put into its proper place. On Thursday nights especially was Room 120 active for it was on this night that the Staff met to compare and settle problems. Joan feared that the Annual was going to go into the red ; Gerrie and Wayne and their assistants, MaReese and Darlene, were having trouble with the illustrations; Alice wondered where she was going to find the space for the pictures which had to go in; Buzz was wondering when a certain picture was going to be ready; Don was worrying about where he was going to het sports action shots; LeRoy was having trouble expressing what he wanted to say in the space allowed him; Betty and Arlene were tearing out hair over the typing; while Betty, Mr. Parry, and Miss Barrett worried over the deadline and many other problems. Then came the day it was finished and sent to the printers. The Staff waited anxiously for the day to arrive when the Cardinal would come baek and they could in- spect and criticize the work which they had done. The Cardinal Staff sincerely hopes that the students and faculty who read this, the 1951 Cardinal, will be as pleased as they were at the results and that all who read it will recieve much pleasure and enjoyment from it in later years.
