Student Council Student Council is trying to get students to care. They sponsored the Christmas Assembly so we would have a chance to make others happy. The drug assemblies make us aware of problems we sometimes forget about. Student Council also gets kids to have fun together. They held the Coronation and spring dances, and the barbeque. They suggest to the administration some of the new rules which we as students take for granted. Council works behind the scenes so South acts more as one spirit. Cindy Horstmann and Brad Roche are just trying to make one thing perfectly clear. What's a LANCE? It's hours of hard work and effort combined with tears and sweat and love. It's learning to use a cropper and proportion wheel. It's meeting deadlines -Asometimes a little late. It's worrying about headlines and copy. It's getting to look at all the pictures and trying to figure out good captions. But, most of all, it's one hun- l dred and twenty pages all about South. ig ga-muy W-at ff, is fr ' Our faithful school photographers were Ed Holderle and Bob Metzler. 100
