Working different areas and shifts was new to juniors and seniors a- like. Besides the floor work, students taught prenatal classes and had projects to complete. Working with parents and in- fants, students utilized teaching aides and new nursing skills to function effectively in this area of nursing. Tiring at times, OB was also fulfilling. 25

Working with children put hutterflies in seniors' stomachs at first. A new modc of explanation and observation had to he utilized. There were two added per- sons besides the patients in this type of nursing-parents. Often they were as frightened as their child. Care plans and a party were also a part of this rotation. Visiting Head Start and a nursery school were two programs to be observed out- side of the hospital. Mrs. Gauldin taught this rotation.
