Sharlene Limecooly was the winner ofa contest held for the purpose of finding a suitable and original title for the first annual to be published at the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing since 1929. Her suggestion was the chosen title of Appendix , Webster defines the word appendix as, Matter added to a book but not essential to its completeness, as a bibliography, notes, or tabular matter . So it is that we think of our annual as containing tabular matter added to our nursing school life, though it is not the essential part of our stay here. The staff sincerely hopes that the Appendix will become a permanent part of school life here and wishes to extend thanks to all who helped make it possible. Sharlene Limecooly
