Becky crowns Queen Jeanette. iii-D1 4' M 4 n Y Homecoming Another turn in the westward trek occurred when Roger Osterland, Student Council Vice President, announced at the pre-homecoming assembly the names of the four girls who had the honor of attend- ing the queen. They were: jane Luekens, Pat Nick- el, janet jagusch and Kathy Schefft. Finally, Roger announced Jeanette Bender as the first homecoming queen of LI-ISW. The marching band, playing at Fairview High field, prepared all spectators for the appearance of Jeanette and her attendants. Arriving in the first convertible were third at- tendant Pat, escorted by Steve Kostelny, and fourth attendant jane, escorted by Ken Braatz. Then fol- lowed second attendant janet, escorted by Bob Schuster, and first attendant Kathy, escorted by Glenn Miekle . Becky Ulen, homecoming queen of '57-'58, came back to crown the new queen. Her escort was Al jahnke . All stood in awe of Lutheran I-Iigh's sweetheart, sitting on her throne in the senior class float. After the crowning ceremony, all five girls were placed on the senior float to view their domain. Lutheran High West Marching Band
