F aculfy LE IGH TEMME Advisor of our school newspaper is one of the duties of Miss Temme. She graduated from Val- paraiso University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. Senior English, Speech, and Journalism are the subjects she teaches. Senior English is a very important subject. lt prepares the student for college or the business world. The term paper is written during this year. The ability to speak well is very important, and speech helps the student to improve. The publication of the Lon orn DONALD URBACH This is the second year Mr. Urbach has been teaching at our school. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia, River Forest. This year he is teaching Algebra I, Plane Geom- etry, Trig. , and Solid Geometry. Math and coaching are the fields of Mr. Ur- bach. Students taking math learn to apply what they learn to everyday situations. Most Freshmen take algebra which gives them an introduction to high math. World History is a very interesting course which helps students to learn more about people from other lands. American Problems class stud- ies the life in the United States. Doctrine is a continuation of Confirmation instruction. The doctrines of our church are studied to a greater extent. Faculty RUTH SCHAIRER Advisor of G.A.A. is only one of the du- ties of Miss Schairer. She graduated from Val- paraiso University, receiving a Bachelor of Sci- ence degree. This year she is teaching Physi- cal Education, First Aid, and Health. Attend- ance counselor is another of her duties. Physical Education helps the girl to devel- op her body to the glory of God. Basketball, badminton, tennis, volleyball, and tumbling are some of the activities included. Health ena- bles a girl to learn to better care for her wonderful body Miss Schairer is very efficient. WILLIAM SC HEIDERER Mathematics and science are the fields of this teacher. Mr. Scheiderer received a Bach- elor of Science degree from Concordia, Seward, Nebraska. Chemistry, Physics, and Algebra ll are taught by him this year. Don't panic, and Think, are two of his favorite expressions. His courses are primarily for preparation for college. Algebra teaches the student to think and is also a tool for science. Chemistry and physics give students basic knowledge in these fields of science. His classes will never be for- gotten by his students. His dry humor is appreciated. GEORGE JOHN SCHMIDT SEEVERS Teaching Physical history is the Education and duty of Mr. history are his Schmidt this year. He re- ceived a Bach- elor of Arts and Science degree from Ohio State U. A Master's degree was al- so received from Columbia University. He has had a very liberal education. Social Studies gives Freshmen a chance to study about Ohio and other parts of the world. U. S. History acquaints the student with the his- tory of his country. Studying the Constitution of the United States is one of the things included in this course. Mr. Schmidt displays patience and great understanding. ing. Mr. See- vers received a Bachelor of Science degree from Concord- ia, Seward, Nebraska. He also was our head football coach and freshmen basketball coach. Physical Education includes track, tumbling, basketball, etc. These sports help the boys de- velop their bodies. In the sophomore year, First Aid and Health are taken. First Aid is very valuable in emergencies. Mr. Seevers also worked very hard with the football team.
