the athletically inclined and those not cc- ordinated, both find gym a favorite subject our esteemed principalmr, freitag, has done so much in making our under miss frankensteins guidance. and all school successful. through his time and talents, lurheran high has find before a year is through, there exists nz become the great and deeply loved school which it is today. such word as can't! facult the talents cf our head basketball and baseball coach are clearly evident in the fine teams which mr. dcering has produced. being chairman cf the physical education depart- ment, the able training many received has been through his efforts. 4 the bookstore and lan- guage department are both run with equal smoothness under mr. lautenschlager. he has helped many a struggling language stu- dent through difficult cone jugations and translations. his students aren't likely to forget his help. the math department is run with all the precision and exactness such classes re' quire, under the chairman- ship of mr. graef. his in- terest in each and every student makes him the good and well-meaning teacher he is. as chairman of the art department and also advisor to paw prints, mr. brcmnfier shows initiative as well as talent in all his classes. he teaches with a collegiate air about him giving his students an in- teresting as well as informative instruc- tion.

o luth'ran high, we sing thy name, our own high school. thy faith be evermore thy fame, and love be thy rule. full-grounded on the savior's love, upholding truths eternal, strong may thy counsels in our lives direct our way. we have chosen as the theme for year's annual our own alma mater. song, we think, is the expression of how much we really love lutheran high. as the first verse emphasizes, it was the faith in f christ that caused lutheran high to be built, , beneath thy banner blue and white, in hallowed halls, on campus fair and field so bright, we strive one and all. now be thy godly lessons taught and friendships true and loyal fore'er enshrined within our hearts, o luth'ran high. a. j. freitag if ,, i - this this .
