The girls sextet got a two plus, the double mixed quartet also received a two rating. The boys quartet got a one rating and thus a trip to State, where they also received a one. David Dodson also got a one rating at Districts and at State for his solo performance. Music is a very important part of LHS. Once again, the Highlights lived up to the expectations that constantly surround them. Their boisterous singing was heard wherever they performed, whether it was at Sunday Worship in an area church or at the District Contest. This large group gave its all and was rewarded with a rating of two-plus in the District Contest. They were also rewarded in knowing that they worshipped God to their fullest. .35 51 Ngdw,. ,L 5 X

The Band this year was the best it has ever been. Under the leadership of Mrs. Ohlman, the band flourished and was enjoyed by many. They played hits of f the past and the present and also hymns of faith. The band went on a tour of area grade- schools and churches.
