The first day of school had finally started for Kansas City Lutheran High School. But for the Freshmen, J uSt X , camera Shy! X ' x gf-44, , it was a new beginning and probably a day full of excitement. The second step was to make friends. This can be a frightening experience in most schools, but at LHS you find an atmos- phere that is full with friendliness. The friends that you make here will probably be your friends for a long time. For some of you, the third step is making the team. Whether it is volley- ball, basketball, soccer, or band. Being on the honor roll or just getting decent grades, so your parents don't ground you, is also a very important aspect. The Freshmen this year have learned what highschool is all about. They know when they are being teased, when they are in the wrong crowd, and how to live through the school year. They have learned their mistakes from their Freshmen year and can sympathize with this years' Freshmen. But being sympathetic does not stop them has appeared, at least true, the Freshmen are from teasing the Fresh Hgeeksu. This term every freshmen name. Even though it is not once, in front of called this just because they are freshmen. The Sophmores are now one year older. A year that is full of many new experiences that will junior year. The prepare them for their the upperclassmen of '89 and '9O. Being high school because you are no longer at you are not at the top where you have to underclassmen of 1988 cannot wait to be a Sophmore is probably the best year of the bottom of the ladder, and worry about life after high school. So our advice to the Sophmores is this: Enjoy this year and X start preparing for the years to come because they can be rough! 'Swat
