The girls varsity basketball team enjoyed a surpris- ingly successful season, advancing to the state section- als before losing to Princeton, 45-42, and finishing at I9-7. - The Lady Knights won the Drexel and Santa Fe Tourna- ments, the conference co-championship, and their first- ever district championship. Sophomore Julie Savage emerged as Lutheran's best player, leading the team in scoring Cl2.7J, rebounding 19.45, assists, and steals. Senior Marnie Ludwig scored I0 points a game, while sophomore Jeri Rinne contribu- ted 8.4 boards per contest.
