The math program of LHS-KC consisted of Modern Basic Mathematics, Algebra I, and Geometry. In Modern Basic Math students sharpened their computational skills, applied their knowledge to consumer and business situations, and were introduced to algebraic concepts. Algebra I provided students with the foundation of their studies of higher level mathematics. In Geometry students exercised their logical thinking ability as they explored the mysteries of proofs, linear and spatial relationships, and matrices. As the high school adds grades, courses in advanced algebra, trigonometry, and calculus will be added. fits The music classes at Lutheran High School are very performance oriented. Music director Jerry Touslee frequently joined in with his Renaissance Music class for a medieval jam session. Besides ap- pearing regularly in school chapel services and at open houses, the class performed publicly before al- most twenty groups during the school year. Singers Leean Pratt, Sue Kleist, Pam Stewart, Kim Neilone, and Jackie Irons were ac- companied by Mark Sandfort, Ti Arndt, Lisa Wade, and Mr. Tous- lee durlng our special Christmas service.
