The language arts classes of Lutheran High School include the study of vocahulary, grammar, study skills composition, speech, and literature. The very special classroom dictionary to the le was purchased with funds donated by members of the freshman and sophomore English classes. Mrs. Cheryl Fahle, herself a former secretary and business school teacher, began this year to teach students the fundemental typing and business skills they will need to pursue a career in this area, Many college oriented students also take typing, of course, in anticipation of the research papers they will he expected to produce as they move up the academic ladder. LIBRARY AND SPEECH Sophomore Lisa Wade examines some of the new library materials, many of which were donated from the private libraries of Kansas City Lutherans. Mr. Rod Becher took charge of organizing the library and cataloging the many volumes. Freshmen Fred Laubsch, Todd Wetzel, and Jeff Barker participate in a group discussion speech activity for their English 9 class.
