T -is is ,sg 4 f .aw The prediction for the football season was hopeful. With eleven seniors and nine returning lettermen, a prosperous season was anticipated. However, the number of players that came out for football was much smaller than expected. Also, because of tougher eligibility requirements, fewer players were able to participate in the games. Because most players had to play the entire game, exhaustion began to play a major role in the Crusader's problems. The first games of the season were non-conference against tough and experienced teams. The members of the team worked extremely hard to prepare themselves as best they could for 48 minutes of grueling play. The hard work finally paid off on October 29 when the Crusaders beat the Mooseheart Ramblers by a score of 21-8. Scoring came on two runs by senior Rob Davidson and one by senior Steve Nonnemacher. Ben Brooke, also a senior, accounted for the Crusader's extra-points. msn f 'x X 1lIUNlOR VARSITY CHEERLEADERS - Rhonda Iensen, Kelly Almond, Laurie Guse, Shannon Enderson, Beneta Weatherall and Iuli Peterson.
