The 1956 Cross Country squad as a team was well balanced but did not have the punch to win the close ones. Competition crosscountry is getting keener as more schools are adopting this fall sport. Lutheran won four of nine meets, placed fourth in the Clarenceville Invitational with nine teams competing and placed sixth in the Regional with eleven schools competing.
