N Y, ,- Two of the most exciting events of the school year were the East and West Side ground breaking ceremonies. The East Side ground breaking took place on September 16, l956 and the West Side ceremony followed one week later on September 23. The act of ground breaking was the start of the building program for the two new Lutheran High Schools in Detroit. The students, of course, are happy to be going into brand new schools, but are sad to be separated from their friends living on the other side of town. The Senior Class of l957 will be the last class to graduate from De- troit Lutheran High School.
