Approximately 4,000 spectators were on hand to witness the exciting battle between Detroit Lutheran High and Cleve- land Lutheran High. However, though the game was good, half time held an equal attraction, for during that time the crowning ceremony took place. The Band, Majorettes, and Hi-Steppers led the royal procession followed by the float carrying the charming and attractive Queen and her Court. A member of the Detroit City Council, Mary Beck, was on hand to crown Miss Long. Last year's queen Nan Gilson, was there to relinquish her title to Leann. After the crowning ceremony Queen Leann and her six pretty attendants took their places on the platform erected for them and watched the remaining half of the game. Queen Leann Long.
