VARSITY CHEERLEADERS-The peppiest girls in all D.L.H.S. are the Cheerleaders who performed for all football and basketball games as well as numerous pep sessions, These girls cheered with all their heart and voice and deserve full credit for what they have done. RESERVE CHEERLEADERS-The Reserves have done an excellent job, also. Whether the J-V team was winning or losing, they still kept up that wonderful school spirit. They were real morale boosters. The Hi-Steppers in action. 66 A new club organized this year established a first for D.L.H.S, and for the City of Detroit, lt is a group of marching girls called the Hi-Steppers. After much practice under Mr, N. Spliftgerber and Miss E. Siller, and after a bit of sewing, the girls were ready for their first appearance. The occasion was the big basketball game between the Lutheran High Schools of Cleveland and Detroit. Soon after this performance, they marched at the Wayne - Valpo game. The group put on a good show, Everyone is looking forward to seeing more of the Luther- an Hi-Steppers.
