Young Student Council Board First Row-- J. Schewe, G. Rehse, G. Vanni, Mr. Lemke. Second Row-- C. Gorman, E. Martens, D. Kunert, C. Schiller, B. Erat, Mr. Longerman A very necessary part of stu- dent life at Lutheran High East is centered in our student council. They are entrusted with the jobs of helping keep order throughout school, taking care of the student lounge, and the handling of weekly chapel collections. Largely through the efforts of the council over Sl, 800 was pledged by the student body for needed equipment in school. Now that the first year of LHE Student Council history has been written and the foundation laid for the future, succeeding years will find increased activity and continued service from this consecrated organization.

In no time at all we were on our way. . .confusion became or- ganization almost over night. How it was accomplished is beyond our realm of comprehension.. .but it did evolve. . .did become a reality. . .and. . .are we Proudl Clubs were formed, sponsors and officers elected. . .democratic processes were followed perfectly. . .and. . .through it all, we emerged, satis- fied that we can meet the challenge of society in the future. . . . . . .911 .!4cfiuifie5
