STUDENT COUNCIL Energetic is the word tor the '58-'59 Student Council at LHSC. Starting with the new constitution and several night meetings, the Council plunged into a whirl of worth-while services and activities. Among these services and activities was the sponsorship of two children overseas, which was financed by one chapel collection each month. Other chapel collections were sent to various other organizations, as has been the custom. Somewhat on the same line was the clothing drive, and the canned food collection at Thanksgiving which went to the Lutheran City Mission. Student Council committees this year also conducted the Careers Day program, sponsored the Bible reading cam- paign, planned Smile Day, built an outdoor nativity scene, and sold hot sandwiches at lunch. Yes, '58-'59 was a busy year tor an energetic Student Council. It will long be remembered. R. Schneider, Vice-President, M. Mueller, President, P. Mauch, Secretory, Representatives: J. Birch, Senior P. Kremmel, Junior, C. Sachtleben, Sophomore, B. Mock, Freshman.
