Lutheran High School can be iustly proud of its many fine musical organizations, Since music is such an integral part of the Lutheran Church, it must also be included in the program at Lutheran High, The purpose of such an emphasis on music is to provide an opportunity for gifted students to glorify their Savior, and at the same time, carry His message to others. This is ac- complished through the many performances which are given throughout the year. Perhaps the most well-known of these is the annual Christmas Concert and Pageant. The second major presentation is the Spring Concert given in the early part of Q j May. Playing an important role in these performances is the 58 L.H.S. Choir directed by William J. Kirchhoff. Besides partici- pating in the two concerts, the Choir sang at the Reformation Rally and the Cornerstone-laying of the new high school, and also over Radio Stations KMOX and KFUO. A major project sponsored by the Senior Class was the recording of the Choir singing favorite Christmas selections. 30
