Services Without the many services rendered by various organizations, Lutheran High would be unable to function efzhciently. A great many individuals working together to promote student welfare make up these groups. Their industrious efforts are largely responsible for the success of the extracurricular program at L.l'l.S. Through sponsorship of the Fall Festival, the Sports Festival, and the Father's and Son's athletic banquet, the Booster Club raises funds which are used for extracurricular activities. They also provide all attendants for home basketball games. The Mothers' Club gives much-needed assistance by handling the bookwork of the Magazine Campaign and by providing supper for participants of the annual Christmas Concert, Sponsorship of the GAA Banquet is another of their many projects. The purpose of the Parent-Teachers League is to acauaint the parents vvith the edu- cational facilities at L.l-LS. Meeting four times a year, parents and faculty members have an opportunity to discuss problems relating to the grovvth and training of Christian teenagers. Working daily, the alert members of the oFhce staff efhciently take care of all the business matters of Lutheran High School. Not to be overlooked is the huge task of main- tenence assigned to the custodians. The kitchen staff, too, deserves credit for planning and preparing a variety of tasty lunches throughout the year. Students themselves per- form services by vvorking as Library Assistants and by helping Mr. l-lokamp in the Bookstore. Office Staff D, Schubert, C. Hoehle, J, Rebb, B. Loeber Secretaries L. iff? Courier Original cartoons, new columns, and vigorous school spirit characterized the monthly school paper, the Courier. Its editorials brought the many inconsistencies ot our taiths. News ot alumni and South Side Centers were among the prominent items. Re- views and previews on school presentations were much in evidence. The traditional arti- cles on seniors and taculty members were done with skill and wit. The special articles each month tor the amusement at the reader were highlighted by numerous cartoons which displayed the artistic as well as iournalistic talent at the statt. Sports news cov- ered the last page keeping the students up-to-date on the status ot the various teams. The excellent iob done by Mr. Letterman and the student staff was greatly appreciated by everyone at Lutheran High School.
