MRS GERALDINE SCHMITT WE THE CLASS OF 1955, We, the class of 1955, remembering all the many things that our teachers have done for us, dedicate this book to one we feel is representative of them all. For twelve years she has been a teacher at Luther. In those 12 years there have been many students whom she has guided and helped to find their first jobs. She has not only taught those in her field faithfully, but with her comfort, advice, and sympathy has patterned the lives of many others. Her office doors are always open to anyone seeking advice. She will remain in the memory of all as one carrying out God's will in everything she undertakes. Many of us will be forever grateful to her, but too few ever tell her so. Therefore, in recognition of her tireless efforts for us, we dedicate this book to the head of the commercial department, Mrs. Geraldine Schmitt.

Fall, winter, spring, summer, and one more year has passed. A pleasant year filled with new discoveries and memorable times for us at Luther High North. The passing of our tour years at Luther we see so clearly in the seasonal changes of a tree. And so, we have chosen trees as the theme ot this Log. Ever changing trees mark the division pages. lust as a tree needs sunshine and rain to make it grow, so also we need the guidance ot our teachers to help us grow mentally and spiritually. With this thought and the knowledge oi how richly God has blessed us this past year, we, the class of l955, proudly present this book to the student body and friends of Luther High North.
