Principal’s Message School is a place to learn — to learn about yourself — to learn about other people —to learn about places and things. There are many activities and classes that are designed to help students in their learning. However, these activities and classes are meaningless unless students commit themselves to the task of education. School, then, should be a cooperative endeavor between those of us who are here to help students learn and the students themselves. As the members of the class of '78 go on to the next step in their lives, I hope they can look back upon their four years at Luther L. Wright High School and feel that they have sincerely committed themselves to the task of obtaining an education. Congratulations and good luck! WILLIAM T. HYRY, PRINCIPAL

Dedication Mr. Henry Bothwell The staff of this yearbook wishes to honor a teacher and friend for his dedication to his profession, his willingness to devote time and effort in the interest of the student body, his understanding of young adults, his versatility and his high standards, all of which has earned for him the love and respect of his students. In appreciation for his obvious sincerity and good will, we, therefore, dedicate this 1978 Hematite to MR. HENRY BOTHWELL. 6 We extend our best wishes for his continued success and happiness.
