Editorial — Class of 1911 The first volume of the Hematite is forthwith offered to the public. As this is the first time the publication of an Annual has been attempted in the Ironwood High School, we hope it will meet the requirements of a High School edition in recording the important events of a year, in turning the thoughts of the Alumni to their Alma Mater, in showing the successes of the school, and finally in bringing all people in closer touch with their own institution. The Hematite Board desires to express their indebtedness to Mr. Watson, for his correction of papers and other assistance. Also to Mr. Brennan for his excellent advise and the compiling the Alumni List, also to all other persons having anything whatsoever to do with the publishing and success of the Hematite.” One of th features of the Hematite is the Alumni List, which gives the names and addresses of all the graduates of the High Shool since its organization. In presenting this book to the public, we realize that it is not a work of perfection. In some instances it does not come up to our expectations, but we exhort the class of ' 12 to profit by our errors and publish the banner edition of the Hematite. Nevertheless, we have done our best, and with this thought, we lay aside our quills, and await the verdict of the public. Harry Trezise Editor-in-Chief Whitney Crosby Assistant Editor - First Yearbook 1911 Editors’ Letter — Class of 1976 This being the Bicentennial Year, we, the editors of the 1976 Hema- tite , hope to renew visions of the past. Scenes of our city are depicted in the special historical section in honor of the Bicentennial celebration. Some candid shots of those who roamed our halls in past years are included to add a personal touch to the celebration, and perhaps, a bit of humor in remembering the way we were. 2 CO-EDITORS - 1976 HEMATITE
