Dedication — Mr. Howard Willson We. THE CLASS of 1974, dedicate our HEMATITE to Mr. Howard Willson. Mr. Willson was born and raised in Chassell, Michigan, where he later taught at the Chassell High School. He attended the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin, Superior, graduating with a bachelor and a master degree in Education. In addition to teaching, he has served as Chief Chemist at the Montreal Mine for eight years. Mr. Willson will be retiring this spring, after 20 years at Luther L. Wright High School as a teacher of chemistry, algebra, and general math. During these many years his students have benefited greatly from his patient and earnest concern for his classes. He is well-liked and respected by students and colleagues. Mr. Willson belongs to several organizations including the Gogebic Range Beagle Club, the Range Duplicate Bridge Club, and the American Legion. His favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, and card playing, especially bridge. He approches these hobbies with the same serious intent and thoroughness that he displays in class.
