School iHstrict of the Cttu of 3rontuooh C 2» v- abr ICxtthrr 21. HJright thigh S’rfjool JAMES E. SHERIDAN. Pbinciml 3ronloooh, jiftcfjtgan Readers: We, the editors of the 1967 Hematite, have chosen Roads to the Future as our theme. We think it symbolizes an idea important to education and the graduating class in particular. As we, the students of this school, progress to higher levels of learning, our opportunities multiply and our chances of success increase. Thus, as we complete each year, our roads to the future broaden and branch out into new possibilities, until, upon graduation, our opportunities to build for ourselves a useful and satisfying life are almost limitless. 'We have designed our own cover, inside cover picture, and division pages in hopes that they will add a fresh, original touch to this year's Hematite. We hope that the 1967 Hematite will prove to be a pleasant reminder of the past year at Ironwood High School. Co-editors Ruth Held Charles Gallo

Dedication Mr. Eric Kettula We, the class of 1967, wish to dedicate this book to you, Mr. Kettula, for the years of friendly assistance which you have so generously given to the students of Ironwood High School and to the Student Council in particular. As advisor of the Student Council you have encouraged student discussions and student participation in various school projects. We have appreciated your patient and sympathetic understanding of the problems and ideas that we students have brought before the Student Council. As a result of your efforts the student council continues to function smoothly. In addition you have given your time and talent to making the Junior Prom and Homecoming activities successful each year. We have asked much of you and have never been turned down in our requests for attention. You have guided our thinking and our actions. We wish to express our appreciation for these Services as well as for the intelligent classroom leadership which so many of us have enjoyed. 4
