There is a doorway labeled education which could lead them to a world which has no ends. This door is never locked but, only with a hard push, can it be opened. TfcUiotuiC okox Society Embodying the highest ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character, the National Honor Society represents the peak of honor bestowed upon students of the Luther L. Wright High School, Students anticipate the annual induction service, which serves as an incentive to strive for superior grades and to achieve qualities of service, leadership, and character. Initiation ceremonies are always impressive. The ideals of the club are explained and the symbol of the organization is displayed. The colors of the society are blue and gold. The symbol is composed of a keystone and flaming torch. Not more than fifteen percent of the senior class and five per cent of the junior class may be chosen as members in any one year. Membership is announced at the honors assembly held each spring. The Luther L. Wright High School chapter is under the direction of Mr. Lugviel. PLEDGE OF THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY 1 pledge myself to uphold the high purpose of this society to which I have been elected, striving in every way by word and deed to make its ideals the ideals of my school and of my life.
